Lauren is currently living and creating in Western North Carolina. She is a wildland firefighter, prescribed burn crew member, and wilderness guide for a local hiking company. When she’s not walking around in a forest starting or putting out fires, you can usually find her walking around in a forest in search of rare flora and fauna. Lauren has backpacked over 3,000 miles including the 2,190 mile Appalachian Trail, Vermont’s Long Trail (twice) & the Benton MacKaye Trail.

Here you will find photos of sculptures, printmaking, flora and fauna, fire and long walks throughout Appalachia. You choose it all. Thank you for choosing to look around.
